Sara is passionate about the weddings and special events she guides. She has worked for more than 20 years in the hospitality industry. It all began as a part-time gig while she earned a degree in Latin from UGA (Go DAWGS!). Sara continued to be drawn to the field after college and has held positions in high end restaurants and exclusive private clubs in the Atlanta metro area as a manager, event planner and wedding coordinator. After becoming a mother, Sara decided to create her own company. She began Sara Divine Weddings and Events in 2019.

Sara initially started her business as a way to maintain her contacts in the industry while she enjoyed time with her young son. The advent of Covid was a blessing in disguise. It provided the time and impetus to turn Sara's fast growing business into a major player on the Atlanta wedding scene.

Sara loves and takes pride in all the large and small details of wedding planning from venue choice and florist selection to cocktail napkins. She realizes the importance of making each event special and unique, remembering that each wedding is someone’s big day!

She also prides herself on creating and maintaining lasting relationships with her couples, delighting in the milestones of their lives, e.g. anniversaries, the births of their children, etc.

As her business has grown so rapidly, she has added a team member to ensure that Sara Divine Weddings and Events maintains the highest standards of the wedding profession and continues to provide superlative service to her brides and grooms.

When Sara is not planning weddings, she hikes on Kennesaw Mountain, drinks copious amounts of coffee, and spends time with her family. Her husband, Chris, is a chef and is also in the hospitality industry in Atlanta.

Sara Divine

Owner and Lead Planner

Jessica was born and raised in Southern California. Her college degree is in music. She enjoys singing, wedding planning, software development, and being a mama to her two babies.

After planning her own wedding in 2014, Jessica realized that she loved the planning and coordinating process. She quickly found venues and fellow coordinators who needed assistance in the San Diego, CA area. After a few years of assisting others, she went out on her own and launched her own planning business in California in 2016.

Upon moving to Georgia and meeting Sara, she realized that they held a shared vision of what excellent wedding planning should be. She loves to design, do the backend work, and to execute DIY décor creation. She is a people person to her core.

She loves knowing that as a Sara Divine Weddings and Events team member she can assist in giving couples peace of mind and the ability to breathe easy on their big day and enjoy it.
